Program tuition includes live instructor-led mentor coaching education, asynchronous LMS learning, program learning materials and resources, practice and application activities, evaluation-training coordination/support for the selected MCS level, assignments and learning checkpoints, faculty-led integration and readiness activities, completion review, the 41-hour completion certificate, and applicable supporting program documentation. Fees paid directly to ICF are not included.

The ICF Mentor Coach Specialization is valid for three years. Under current ICF requirements, renewal requires the mentor coach to maintain an active ICF credential and complete 10 hours of continuing education aligned with the ICF Mentor Coaching Competencies during the three-year renewal period. Participants should review the current ICF renewal requirements before their renewal date.

Beginning January 1, 2027, ICF credential candidates must complete new mentor coaching hours with a mentor coach who holds the appropriate ICF Mentor Coach Specialization. The requirement also applies to ACC renewal candidates and to PCC or MCC renewal candidates who use mentor coaching for professional development. These changes make the MCS particularly important for coaches who plan to provide mentor coaching to ICF credential candidates or credential-holders. This program certificate documents mentor coaching education completed for the MCS Standard Path.
